I worked with two other students to create a mobile application meant to foster the type of humor most adolescent males utilized prior to the acquisition of a first cell phone. The app makes use of a concept I call ‘digital graffiti,’ or, the digital annotation of self (in this case meant to foster humor).
The creation of this application required a great deal of research (both in-person and online); innovation matrix creation (in order to discern potential incremental and radical innovation potential); the study of Reddit via autoethnographical thinking, usage logs, and four-affordances-of-a-computer studies; as well as concept mapping, attribute listing, wireframes, and UI ideations.
I presented this app concept at the 2015 International Association of Societies of Design Research (IASDR) Conference in Brisbane, Australia, and at the 2016 Humor Research Conference (HRC) in Commerce, Texas.
